During the course of year 9, students select the subjects for their IGCSE study programme. In Key Stage 4 BIS students take English Language and Mathematics and seven of the following at IGCSE level:

They must also complete courses in general Physical Education and Personal and Social Education.

First Language speakers are offered the opportunity to take an IGCSE in their mother tongue. This can be taken during KS3.
